You will work internationally with technical experts representing the Marine Harvest’s operating units, our customers, research institutions and authorities to control and improve Marine Harvest performance within the areas. The Group Technical Manager Food Safety & Quality reports to the Group Technical Director.   

Main responsibilities will be to:   
Develop, maintain and ensure implementation of overall group policies and standards within the areas food safety and product quality
Run relevant research and development projects within Food Safety & Quality
Support to operational units in issues/crisis prevention and handling
Head the Marine Harvest international Food Safety & Quality team
  
The position will work both towards farming, harvesting & processing and externally sourced farmed and wild species.   

We are looking for an analytical and technically skilled person driven by the wish to make a difference. The right candidate holds a Masters degree, preferably within food safety or fish quality. You should have minimum 5 years of relevant experience, and background from the industry will be preferred. You have the ability to communicate clearly on complex issues both towards internal and external customers. Of personal characteristics, we focus on well developed cooperation skills, accuracy and solution orientation. The company language is English, and knowledge of one of the Scandinavian languages is necessary.   

The position is based at the Corporate Head Office in Bergen, Norway, and will require some travelling, mainly in Norway and Northern Europe.

We are currently seeking a Cost Estimator to join our business in our Stavanger office. As the Cost Estimator, you will be part of a highly competent and skilled team in support of a large multi-disciplinary and multimillion US$ oil and gas project, through different phases of project development covering front end engineering, detail design, fabrication, installation and commissioning of subsea/ surface engineering facilities.

Responsibilities:

To contribute to the production of cost estimates for projects across business groups in a consistent manner in accordance with Shell prescribed methodologies meeting required levels of accuracy.
Execute the production of cost estimates for medium-size, stand-alone projects, including:
- Support establishment of local cost survey and related location factor(s);
- Capital cost estimate;
- Provide input to probabilistic or deterministic risk analysis and assessment for determination of appropriate cost contingencies;
- Analysis and explanation of cost estimate structure and build-up;
- Compilation of comprehensive cost estimate report/fact sheet;
- Provide input data for benchmarking activities;
- Support delivery of cost estimates for major, complex projects under guidance of Senior Cost Estimator;
- Develop estimate plans for projects within own responsibility;
- Assist in peer reviews.
Contribute to close-out data to enable knowledge retention (lessons learned, project data compilation) at completion of work.
Participate in knowledge sharing and methods of working within the estimating community.

Desired Skills & Experience

Relevant Engineering Degree and/or Certification as a Cost Engineer and/or relevant experience.
Industry experience in cost engineering positions.
Good written and oral communications.
